Before Jim Brown became a hero of the NFL, he had an inauspicious start on a small island of the coast of Georgia. 

On his journey to stardom, Jim Brown had a lot of help along the way.   This story follows Jim from his youth with his grandmother to his high school years with his mother and finally  to his controversial college days at Rutgers University where he gained entry with the help of a local benefactor.
